Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. B. King, the trainer of Class Aire regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Class Aire last raced on 19th August 2015. Ms. King stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a hock injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Shirdon Wee Nell.
Jack Mounty, Class Aire and Slipaway Anna were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Jack Mounty. Flashy Arrow checked off Emi's Boy Macca soon after the start. Shirdon Wee Nell and Dynamo's Dove collided approaching the first turn checking Dynamo's Dove. Emi's Boy Macca checked off Shirdon Wee Nell on the first turn and raced wide as a result. Jack Mounty checked off Class Aire approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Chircop, the handler of Jack Mounty and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring that he arrives at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.
