Steward's Report
Destini Blaze, Sparkling Star and Light Feathers were quick to begin. Greysynd Turbo, Eighteen Two and She's A Freebie were slow to begin. Destini Blaze and Light Feathers collided on the first turn checking Light Feathers. Greysynd Turbo and Eighteen Two collided on the first turn. Sparkling Star and She's A Freebie collided on the first turn. Greysynd Turbo galloped on the heels of Light Feathers on the second turn chcking Greysynd Turbo, Pyrenees Dynasty and Eighteen Two and severely checking Light Feathers. Pyrenees Dynasty and Eighteen Two collided approaching the home turn. She's A Freebie raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
She's A Freebie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D Choules, the representative of Destini Blaze regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr. Choules stated that the greyhound had been receiving considerable interference of late and today the greyhound managed to obtain a clear run to the first turn and lead throughout the event, which he believes was due to a drop in class. Stewards noted Mr. Choules's explanation and directed that a sample be taken.
