Steward's Report
Derail went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. In Dee Gang and Boris Winslow collided soon after the start. Kolora Tess crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Boris Winslow and In Dee Gang. Atlas Tinkabell and Kolora Tess collided on the first turn. Boris Winslow and Casey's Choice collided on the first turn checking Boris Winslow. Derail was held up for a run approaching the home turn and checked off Kolora Tess as a result. Kolora Tess and In Dee Gang collided approaching the home turn checking In Dee Gang which contacted the running rail as a result. Derail checked off Kolora Tess approaching the home turn. In Dee Gang checked off Kolora Tess in the home straight. Boris Winslow and Derail raced wide entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A Richardson, the trainer of Smart Business regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr. Richardson stated that this was the greyhounds first start for him and the greyhound had run up to the time it had been trialling in. Stewards noted Mr. Richardson's explanation and directed that a sample be taken.
