Stewards spoke to Ms. K Jordan, the owner of Latino Ice regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Latino Ice last raced on 20th May 20015.  Ms. Jodan stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after a right metacarpal injury.

Sajetti was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder and right thigh.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R Fisher, the trainer of Toothless Homer regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr. Fisher stated that it was the greyhounds first attempt over the 500m. He also added that the greyhound is generally slow to begin and began well today which enabled the greyhound to obtain a clear run. Stewards noted Mr. Fishers explaination and directed that a sample be taken. 

Yessa went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Quite Spritely and Radiant Rose were slow to begin.  Destini Spark and Elle's Diva collided approaching the first turn checking Destini Spark.  Radiant Rose and Claretown Rose collided on the first turn checking Claretown Rose which tailed off as a result.  Yessa and Destini Spark collided approaching the home turn.  Urana Gold eased approaching the home turn checking Quite Spritely, Elle's Diva and Radiant Rose.  Quite Spritely and Radiant Rose collided entering the home straight.  Radiant Rose and Elle's Diva collided in the home straight.

Claretown Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. P. Griffen declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Griffen, the trainer of the greyhound Claretown Rose.  Stewards deemed the performance of Claretown Rose unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Claretown Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Donlon, the trainer of the greyhound Urana Gold regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Urana Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Urana Gold with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Donlon pleaded guilty to the charge.  Urana Gold was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D Choules, the representative of Destini Spark regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr. Choules stated that the greyhound had been finding severe trouble in its recent starts. He also added that the greyhound was aided by interference approaching the home turn which enabled the greyhound to obtain a clear run through.

Banate Express and Ima Tornado were very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Colac Outlaw and Jack Snapper collided approaching the first turn checking Jack Snapper.  Colac Outlaw and Dulcet Sound collided on the first turn checking Dulcet Sound.  Jack Snapper and Dulcet Sound collided approaching the home turn checking Ima Tornado.  Ima Tornado checked off Banate Express approaching the home turn.  Jack Snapper raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Gray, the representative of the greyhound Camelot Lodge regarding the handler, Mr. P. Pace's difficulty in boxing the greyhound. Stewards directed that Camelot Lodge be boxed first in future events.

Mr. J La Rosa, trainer of Melos Girlfriend declared a new weight of 23.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Melos Girlfriend last raced at 21.8kgs.

Lektra Starsky and Angel Of Glory were slow to begin.  Major Moe, Casey's Choice and Supersonic Bob collided soon after the start.  Major Moe and Charlie's Lady collided approaching the first turn.  Lektra Starsky, Casey's Choice, Supersonic Bob and Angel Of Glory collided on the first turn checking Casey's Choice and severely checking Supersonic Bob.  Charlie's Lady and Atlas Tinkabell collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Courting Time was quick to begin.  Dr. Chitchat was slow to begin.  Hannebery Thyme and Kilty's Comet collided soon after the start.  Kilty's Comet, Classy Arrow and Dolce Ventu collided approaching the first turn checking Kilty's Comet.  Hannebery Thyme checked off Dolce Ventu on the first turn.  No Reply and Dark Corgi collided approaching the home turn checking Dark Corgi.  Classy Arrow checked off No Reply in the home straight.

Kilty's Comet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Don's Chief and Scarlet Black were quick to begin.  Riverdale Maggie, Lynlaw Harvey and It's My Day collided soon after the start checking It's My Day. Riverdale Maggie galloped on the heels of Lynlaw Harvey approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Riverdale Maggie and Lynlaw Harvey collided approaching the home turn checking Riverdale Maggie.  Scarlet Black and They Watch collided several times in the home straight.

Archie's Pride and Spritely Jack were slow to begin.  Shimmer Tank checked off Lady Camelot on the first turn.  Lady Camelot and Whipstick Flyer collided approaching the home turn checking Whipstick Flyer.  Spritely Jack raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Rimpac trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 36.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 2.  The time of the trial was 22.42.  The greyhound won by a margin of 6.25 lengths.  Rimpac was cleared.

Trial 2

Tanjira trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 29.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.58.  The greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Tanjira was cleared.

Albert's Patch trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 27.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.58.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Albert's Patch was cleared.
