Steward's Report
Uno Krypto was quick to begin. Let Rip Johno was slow to begin. Carlanna Sharna checked off Uno Krypto soon after the start. Belena Belle checked off Makaman approaching the first turn checking Bold Caper, Belena Belle and Carlanna Sharna. Belena Belle and Carlanna Sharna collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Cairnlea Flash and Uno Krypto collided approaching the home turn. Uno Krypto checked off Cairnela Flash on the home turn checking Uno Krypto and severely checking Roadrunner Thief. Bold Caper eased in the home straight.
Bold Caper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. McInnes, the trainer of the greyhound Bold Caper regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Bold Caper with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. McInnes pleaded guilty to the charge. Bold Caper was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound peform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
