Saahd checked off Weeping Lass on the first turn, checking Blast Away. Derby Magic checked off Tywin Bale approaching the home turn. Saahd checked off Derby Magic in the home straight.
Weeping Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration above the right eye, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the catcher of Tywin Bale after the greyhound collapsed in the catching pen. Tywin Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was dazed and had an increased respiration rate on track post race. After being revetted following race 7, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found. After taking evidence from witnessing parties, stewards advised Mr. J Collins, the representative of Tywin Bale that the greyhound will be monitored in future events.
