Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Hendy, the trainer of Hillbilly Bubba regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hillbilly Bubba last raced on 13th June 2016. Mr. Hendy stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a left groin injury. Mr. Hendy also declared a new weight of 31.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hillbilly Bubba last raced at 30.0kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Hillbilly Bubba.
Fipa Middleton was quick to begin. Demtel was slow to begin. Corgi Cry, Trov's Gem, Desert Spike and Suspicious Lee collided soon after the start checking Corgi Cry, Trov's Gem and Desert Spike. Suspicious Lee checked off Dodge The Cop on the first turn. Demtel and Corgi Cry collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
