A pre-race sample was taken from Solitary.
Brazen Beau was quick to begin. Solitary and Penny Pitstop were slow to begin. Texta Arandt and Seabrook Indi collided soon after the start. Just Like Fire and Texta Arandt collided approaching the first turn. Solitary checked off Penny Pitstop on the home turn.
Brazen Beau was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left wrist and left triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. C. Dyett, the handler of Brazen Beau regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Destini Tenor, the winner of the event.
