Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Kruisselbrink, the trainer of Hoi Polloi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hoi Polloi last raced on 28th June 2016. Mr. Kruisselbrink stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.
Jack's Lass was a late scratching at 11:48am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right bicep injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Push The Trolley was slow to begin. Dortmunder and Why Not George collided soon after the start. Regal Bulldog, Why Not George and Push The Trolley collided approaching the first turn. Why Not George checked off Push The Trolley on the first turn. Regal Bulldog and Push The Trolley collided on the first turn. Hoi Polloi checked off Regal Bulldog approaching the home turn.
A sample was taken from Piano Black, the winner of the event.
This event was hand timed at 22.32 due to a malfunction with the timing mechanism.
The Judges inadvertantly semaphored the numbers 2, 1, 7 8.before correcting the numbers to 2, 1, 8 7. The All Clear was then notified.
