Steward's Report
Golden Goal was quick to begin. Horsley Bale was slow to begin. Jetgun and Roofer collided soon after the start. Roofer and Flaming Bob collided approaching the first turn. Jetgun, Golden Goal and Cosmic Jim collided approaching the first turn checking Golden Goal. Horsley Bale and Roofer collided approaching the first turn. Greg Bale and Golden Goal collided on the first turn. Cosmic Jim contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and collided with Greg Bale as a result. Jetgun and Flaming Bob collided approaching the home turn. Horsley Bale, Cosmic Jim and Greg Bale collided on the home turn. Jetgun marred the running of Flaming Bob on the home turn checking Flaming Bob which raced wide as a result. Flaming Bob and Jetgun collided several times in the home straight. Golden Goal crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Flaming Bob.
Jetgun was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to it's left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Williams, the trainer of the greyhound Jetgun. Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Jetgun with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Geelong and directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
