A pre race sample was taken from Iowna Show.
Lady Lurcher was quick to begin. Surfin' Tatti, Move That Energy and Margi's Girl were slow to begin. Move That Energy and Margi's Girl collided soon after the start. Surfin' Tatti, Sunset Eclipse and Iowna Show collided on the first turn. Gallo Allen and Lady Lurcher collided on the first turn severely checking Lady Lurcher, Sunset Eclipse and Iowna Show casuing Sunset Eclipse and Iowna Show to fall and Lady Lurcher to stumble and lose considerable ground. Gallo Allen and Move That Energy collided approaching the home turn.
Lady Lurcher was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Iowna Show was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg and soreness in the lower back, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
