Mr L. Mitchell, trainer of the greyhound Shadows Lily redeclared a new weight of 25.1kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). Shadows Lily last raced at 23.4kgs.

Mr J. Magri, trainer of the greyhound of Marlise redeclared a new weight of 26.1kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). Marlise last raced at 24.8kg.

Daphne Allen was quick to begin. Daphne Allen and Marlise collided soon after the start. Daphne Allen, Marlise and Princess Jasmine collided on the first turn checking Shadows Lily. Eri Bale checked off Marlise approaching the home turn. Shadows Lily and Gwen's Pick collided on the home turn checking Shadows Lily. Lettuce Hold On checked off Daphne Allen entering the home straight. Eri Bale and Gwen's Pick raced wide in the home straight.

Shadows Lily was vetted folllowed the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr L. Mitchell, trainer of Shadows Lily regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. Mr. Mitchell stated that the greyhound had only just entered his kennel recently and it was his intention to run the greyhound over shorter distances in Tier 3 events. Stewards noted Mr. Mitchell's comments and took no further action.

Girl Guide was quick to begin. Maddy Maldini, Shake 'Em Up and Blown Away collided soon after the start. Shayley's Comet and Blown Away collided on the first turn. Shake 'Em Up checked off Blown Away on the first turn. Shayley's Comet and Blown Away collided approaching the home turn checking Shayley's Comet which brushed the running rail as a result. Girl Guide and Blown Away collided on the home turn.

Blown Away was vetted following an incident in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the neck and graze to the left hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

The start time of this event was rescheduled to 7:52pm at the request of Sky Channel.

Misty Febey and Maximum Bella were quick to begin. Farce Allen and Call Me Lily collided soon after the start. Judy's Wish and Maximum Bella collided on the first turn checking Judy's Wish. Misty Febey, Maximum Bella and Midori Miss collided in the home straight checking Midori Miss. Farce Allen and Call Me Lily collided in the home straight checking Farce Allen.

A pre race sample was taken from Iowna Show.

Lady Lurcher was quick to begin. Surfin' Tatti, Move That Energy and Margi's Girl were slow to begin. Move That Energy and Margi's Girl collided soon after the start. Surfin' Tatti, Sunset Eclipse and Iowna Show collided on the first turn. Gallo Allen and Lady Lurcher collided on the first turn severely checking Lady Lurcher, Sunset Eclipse and Iowna Show casuing Sunset Eclipse and Iowna Show to fall and Lady Lurcher to stumble and lose considerable ground. Gallo Allen and Move That Energy collided approaching the home turn.

Iowna Show was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg and soreness in the lower back, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Margi's Girl - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms K. Heinrich, representative of the greyhound Ousai Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Ousai Bale last raced on 21 December 2014. Ms Heinrich stated that the greyhound has been recovering from a fractured scapula. Stewards noted Ms.Heinrich's comments.

Galahad was slow to begin. Tiggerlong Katut and Ousai Bale collided soon after the start checking Ousai Bale. Tiggerlong Katut, Fearsome Mint and Dyna Malaise collided on the first turn checking Tiggerlong Katut, Fearsome Mint and Fury Bale. Fearsome Mint and Fury Bale collided approaching the home turn. Ousai Bale and Fearsome Mint collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Ousai Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Thunder Hawk, Loch Roman, Sahara and Kansas Bale were slow to begin. Thunder Hawk, Zanpa Bale and Dark Obsession collided soon after the start checking Dark Obsession. Louisiana Lil and Zanpa Bale collided on the first turn. Loch Roman, Thunder Hawk and Kansas Bale collided on the first turn. Loch Roman and Kansas Bale collided on the second turn. Dark Obsession and Kansas Bale collided in the back straight. Louisiana Lil and Zanpa Bale collided approaching the home turn. Stewards spoke to registered catcher Mr K. Coleman and guardian Mr R. Camilleri, and issued him with a warning in regards to his failure to be in possession of an appropriate lead when catching the greyhound Zanpa Bale in this event.

Reckless Brown was quick to begin. Zelemar Storm, Get Up Dinozzo, Mepunga Ledger and Crackerjack Dak collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Ledger. Zelemar Storm and Get Up Dinozzo collided on the first turn checking Zelemar Storm and Mepunga Ledger and severely checking Get Up Dinozzo. Mepunga Ledger checked off Get Up Dinozzo on the second turn. Crackerjack Dak checked off Reckless Brown on the third turn. Mepunga Armagh checked off Crackerjack Dak on the third turn.

Winfield Sammy, Some Tricks and Jazaan's Boy collided on the first turn checking Some Tricks and Jazaan's Boy. Cosmic Rebel and See Him Next raced wide in the home straight.

Our Nico, Jammie Dodger, Valoshore and Duff Bale collided soon after the start checking Our Nico, Duff Bale and Valoshore. Sunny Breaks, Sir Tex and Magic Coups collided approaching the first turn checking Sunny Breaks. Sunny Breaks galloped on the heels of Magic Coups on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Valoshore and Duff Bale collided on the first turn. Sunny Breaks and Our Nico collided on the first turn. Valoshore and Duff Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Valoshore.

Denya and Midnight Outlaw were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Midnight Outlaw. Just A Wish, Lektra Allan, Lektra Glitter and Kenso Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Allan and Lektra Glitter, causing Lektra Glitter to lose ground. Just A Wish and Denya collided on the first turn. Chief Tommy and Kenso Bale collided on the home turn. Just A Wish raced wide on the home turn, checking Lektra Glitter which raced wide as a result. Lektra Allan raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Kenso Bale checked off Midnight Outlaw in the home straight. Denya raced wide in the home straight.

Strongbeth was quick to begin. Sheoak Blue Boy and Play A Kazoo were slow to begin. Strongbeth, Dragon Empire, Diamond Apple and Maisy Mac collided on the first turn checking Diamond Apple, Straw Hat Luffy and Play A Kazoo. Play A Kazoo galloped on the heels of Diamond Apple on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Sheoak Blue Boy and Maisy Max collided in the home turn and in the home straight. Sheoak Blue Boy, Maisy Max, Straw Hat Luffy, Play A Kazoo and Dragon Empire raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards delayed signalling the All Clear for this event due to a concern with the positioning of the lure on the first turn. After viewing the official race footage Stewards were satisfied that the positioning of the lure did not affect the outcome of the event and the All Clear was given on the numbers 2-3-4-8

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Maye, Geelong GRC Lure Driver, regarding the positioning of the lure in this event and made him aware of his responsibilities (GAR 55(1)).

Diamond Apple was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left thigh, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Fizzy Bale was quick to begin. Kezza's Spirit and Electro Bale were slow to begin. Miss Tron and Fizzy Bale collided on the first turn checking Miss Tron. Blue Away, Kaufman Bale, Uncool Albert and Kezza's Spirit collided on the first turn checking Kaufman Bale, Uncool Albert, Kezza's Spirit and Miss Tron. Kezza's Spirit faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off as a result.

Kezza's Spirit was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hip, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
