Crave, Why Not Lucy, Spritely Boy and Roll 'Em Missy collided on the first turn checking Crave, Why Not Lucy, Spritely Boy and Flyin' Les Fergi. Dynamite Dixie and Why Not Lucy collided approaching the second turn checking Why Not Lucy. Roll 'Em Missy, Crave and Roll 'Em Missy collided approaching the home turn severely checking Crave and Spritely Boy. Dynamite Dixie and Why Not Lucy collided approaching the home turn checking Why Not Lucy. Roll 'Em Maggie and Roll 'Em Missy collided on the home turn. Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Trickey, the trainer of the greyhound Why Not Lucy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Why Not Lucy with marring. Mrs. Trickey pleaded guilty to the charge, Why Not Lucy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Why Not Lucy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
