Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Trickey, the trainer of the greyhound Why Not Lucy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Why Not Lucy with marring. Mrs. Trickey pleaded guilty to the charge, Why Not Lucy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Not Lucy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Demtel and Pop Always Said were slow to begin. Invictus Gypsy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Maximum Melva and Zipping Tazz. Pop Always Said checked off Mr. Stealer soon after the start. Zipping Tazz checked off Maximum Melva soon after the start. Demtel, Maximum Melva and Asa Baby collided approaching the first turn checking Maximum Melva and Asa Baby. Demtel galloped on the heels of Invictus Gypsy on the first turn checking Demtel, Asa Baby and Pop Always Said. Invictus Gypsy, Mr. Stealer and Lady Juar collided approaching the home turn checking Invictus Gypsy and Mr. Stealer. Zipping Tazz checked off Maximum Melva approaching the home turn. Stewards spoke to Mr P Akathiotis, trainer of Hala Belle in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Hala Belle last raced on the 23rd May 2015.  Mr Akathiotis stated that Hala Belle was returning to race after suffering a back muscle injury.  Stewards noted Mr Akathiotis's explanation.

Del Rio checked off Snapper's mate on the first turn severely checking Snapper's Mate, Nockabout Aussie, Del Rio and Hala Belle. Del Rio and Snapper's Mate collided in the home straight checking Del Rio. 

Del Rio was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hamstring injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Harry Aztec was very slow to begin, 6 lengths. Nunya Tron checked off Gunmetal Rebel on the first turn severely checking Nunya Tron, Gary Doogan and Mahogany Saphire and causing Big Barking Bert to fall.

Big Barking Bert was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury and left calf muscle injury. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed. 

Our Zaney Nash was quick to begin. Premier Hawk and Sparkeen collided soon after the start checking Premier Hawk. Senor Laurie, Maximum Shera and Seabrook Joel collided approaching the first turn checking Maximum Shera and Seabrook Joel. Sparkeen checked off Our Zaney Nash on the first turn. Stewards spoke to Mrs P Triaca, trainer of Blue Infusion in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Blue Infusion last raced on the 19th February 2015.  Mrs Triaca stated that Blue Infusion was returning to race after a spell to freshen up and a change of kennel.  Stewards noted Mrs Triaca's explanation.

Baroness Molly crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Villainous and Blue Infusion. Coursing Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Fine Future, Fatboy Norm and See Him Go. Smashing Blue and Baroness Molly collided on the home turn. Fatboy Norm, Fine Future and Blue Infusion collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds, Fine Future and Blue Infusion raced wide as a result. Fine Future checked of Blue Infusion in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs J Sharp, representative of Maximum Chez in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Maximum Chez last raced on the 2nd May 2015. Mr Cooper stated that Maximum Chez was returning to race after illness (tonsilitis).  Stewards noted Mrs. Sharp's explanation.

Mrs. J. Sharp, handler of Maximum Chez declared a new weight of 28.1 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Maximum Chez last raced at 26.6 kg.

Wez Gordy was quick to begin. Seabrook Snow, Kian's Hybrid and Advice Aplenty collided soon after the start checking Kian's Hybrid. Roadie checked off No Jockey Needed approaching the first turn. No Jockey Needed crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Morson Senor and severley checking Maximum Chez. Maximum Chez and Kian's Hybrid collided approaching the home turn severely checking Maximum Chez and Advice Aplenty which raced wide as a result. Maximum Chez raced wide in the home straight.
