Rumour was quick to begin and raced wide in the front straight. Fleetwood Flint and Pacific Dreamer collided soon after the start, checking Fleetwood Flint. Sweet Nothins, Free Throw, Roll 'Em Sharky and Pacific Dreamer collided approaching the first turn, checking Free Throw and Roll 'Em Sharky. Sweet Nothins checked off Destini Blaze on the first turn. Pacific Dreamer checked off Destini Blaze on the first turn. Kansas Bale and Destini Blaze collided approaching the second turn, checking Destini Blaze. Pacific Dreamer and Destini Blaze collided on the second turn, severely checking Destini Blaze, which collided with Sweet Nothins and Free Throw.
