Kansas Bale underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to take its place in the field. 

Rumour was quick to begin and raced wide in the front straight. Fleetwood Flint and Pacific Dreamer collided soon after the start, checking Fleetwood Flint. Sweet Nothins, Free Throw, Roll 'Em Sharky and Pacific Dreamer collided approaching the first turn, checking Free Throw and Roll 'Em Sharky. Sweet Nothins checked off Destini Blaze on the first turn. Pacific Dreamer checked off Destini Blaze on the first turn. Kansas Bale and Destini Blaze collided approaching the second turn, checking Destini Blaze. Pacific Dreamer and Destini Blaze collided on the second turn, severely checking Destini Blaze, which collided with Sweet Nothins and Free Throw. Free Throw and Sweet Nothins collided approaching the home turn, checking Free Throw, which raced wide. 

Destini Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Vasile Boy and Madame Black were quick to begin. Gabonia was slow to begin. Black Florence, Indi Allen and Bush Wacked collided approaching the first turn. Black Florence, Indo Allen, Bush Wacked and Bourbski Fever collided on the first turn, checking Bourbski Fever, Bush Florence and Gabonia. Black Florence and Sacred Diamond collided on the first turn, checking Sacred Diamond. Black Florence, Bourbski Fever and Gabonia collided in the back straight, checking Bourbski Fever. Bourbski Fever and Gabonia collided on the third turn, checking both greyhounds. 

Bourbski Fever was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind toes, no stand down period was imposed. 

A sample was taken from Vasile Boy - the winner of the event. 

Jayco Bale and Slick Simzy collided soon after the start. Our Nico and Bounce Pass collided on the first turn, severely checking Our Nico and Bounce Pass, which raced wide. Midnight Timmy and Jayco Bale collided on the first turn. Tron Bradman crossed to the outside on the second turn, checking Jayco Bale. Our Nico and Bounce Pass collided approaching the third turn. 

Pretty Bomb, Gardsman and Who Told Red were slow to begin. Pretty Bomb and Roll 'Em Maggie collided approaching the first turn. Blue Poison, Both Sides Now and Denali Prince collided on the first turn, checking Both Sides Now, Pretty Bomb and Roll 'Em Maggie; severely checking Blue Poison which tailed off. Gardsman checked off Roll 'Em Maggie on the second turn. Pretty Bomb and Gardsman collided on the second turn. Both Sides Now and Who Told Red collided on the second turn. 

Blue Poison was vetted and revetted following event eight. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Lieshout, the trainer of the greyhound Blue Poison.  Stewards deemed the performance of Blue Poison unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Blue Poison must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to J. Hardy, trainer of Why Not Heather as the greyhound had not raced since 12 April 2015. Mr Hardy stated that the greyhound had had a seasonal spell and was new to the kennel. Mr Hardy also redeclared a new weight of 29.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Why Not Heather last raced at 28.7kg.

Lisburn Gem was slow to begin. Dyso Matt and Go Go Spaghettio collided soon after the start. Daintree Puzzle and Dashing Roman collided soon after the start, checking Daintree Puzzle. Dashing Roman and Minter Bee collided on the first turn. Dyso Matt, Go Go Spaghettio and Daintree Puzzle collided on the first turn, checking Daintree Puzzle and Go Go Spaghettio. Dyso Matt and Daintree Puzzle collided approaching the home turn. Minter Bee contacted the running rail on the home turn. Dyso Matt, Why Not Heather and Daintree Puzzle collided on the home turn, checking Why Not Heather and Daintree Puzzle.

Cee Cee Quoted, Capullo Bale, Sulzanti and Destini Lobo collided soon after the start. Jazaan's Boy, Cee Cee Quoted, Feel The Wrath and Tollbar collided on the first turn, checking Jazaan's Boy, Feel The Wrath and Tollbar, and severely checking Sulzanti and Destini Lobo. Destini Lobo checked off Jazaan's Boy on the second turn and collided with Feel The Wrath, checking Feel The Wrath. Capullo Bale and Sulzanti collided on the second turn, checking Sulzanti. Destini Lobo and Capullo Bale collided on the third turn, checking Destini Lobo. 

A sample was taken from Cee Cee Quoted - the winner of the event. 

Spring Trail was a late scratching at 4:19PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its left dew claw. A ten day stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Rosie and Rugall collided soon after the start. Cuervo Shot, Mepunga Rosie and Rugall collided approaching the first turn. Rugall and Gangnam Style collided on the second turn, checking Gangnam Style. Ryno's Raider checked off Mepunga Rosie approaching the third turn. Ryno's Raider checked off Mepunga Rosie on the home turn. Ryno's Raider, Rugall and Zipping Express collided entering the home straight, checking Ryno's Raider and Rugall. Zipping Express and Rugall collided approaching the winning post. 

Magic Coups and Why Not Franklin were slow to begin. Magic Coups, Roll 'Em Missy and Perrier Bale collided on the first turn, checking Magic Coups, Perrier Bale and Why Not Franklin. Roll 'Em Missy and Perrier Bale collided approaching the second turn. Katie Riot and Allen Jersey collided approaching the second turn, checking Katie Riot. Magic Coups and Roll 'Em Missy collided on the second turn, checking Roll 'Em Missy. Why Not Franklin raced wide in the home straight.

The time for this event was incorrectly displayed as 31.69 when in fact the time was recorded as 29.71.

Young Henry was slow to begin. Young Henry and Ibrox Digger collided soon after the start, checking Young Henry. Shirdon Connorae and Lakeview Harley collided approaching the first turn. Young Henry raced wide in the front straight. Ibrox Digger, Spanky's Legacy, Aristotle Bale and Glitterbug collided approaching the first turn, checking Glitterbug, Aristotle Bale and Spanky's Legacy. Spanky's Legacy and Young Henry collided approaching the second turn and raced wide as a result. Spanky's Legacy raced wide on the second turn and in the back straight. Glitterbug and Young Henry collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Spanky's Legacy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and stopper bone, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Sisco Flyer was a late scratching at 1:31PM due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Miss. J. Ward was fined the sum of $100.

Silver Ashile and Simply Cruzin collided approaching the first turn. Helga Bale and Proven Scary collided approaching the first turn, checking Proven Scary. Proven Scary, Silver Ashile and Simply Cruzin raced wide on the second turn. 

Tekki Twist was a late scratching at 8:31AM due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Shattered Ice was slow to begin. Proven Latte checked off Alderley Riot approaching the first turn and collided with Shattered Ice, checking Proven Latte and Shattered Ice. Proven Latte and Shattered Ice collided on the first turn, checking Proven Latte.
