Steward's Report
Whittle Mikado was a late scratching at 11:20am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. P. Jones was fined the sum of $100.
Jazzy Fizzle was quick to begin. Zero Care Factor eased approaching the home turn checking Jazzy Fizzle. Mighty Mish, Dr. Ohwoe and Gats Pacino collided approaching the home turn checking Dr. Ohwoe. Jazzy Fizzle and Perry White collided on the home turn. Zero Care Factor and Gats Pacino collided on the home turn. Zero Care Factor, Mighty Mish and Gats Pacino collided in the home straight checking Gats Pacino. Mighty Mish checked off Zero Care Factor in the home straight.
Zero Care Factor was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Lund, the trainer of the greyhound Zero Care Factor regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zero Care Factor with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Lund pleaded guilty to the charge. Zero Care Factor was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
