Label This, Special Member, It's Burger Time and Garnier Bale were slow to begin.  Candyo and Label This collided on the first turn checking Special Member and severely checking Candyo.  Label This and It's Burger Time collided approaching the home turn checking Label This and Garnier Bale.  Label This checked off Garnier Bale in the home straight.  Bernmar Thunder failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Thor's Crest as a result.

Bernmar Thunder was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Trainer, Mr. P. Derubeis declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Derubeis, the trainer of the greyhound Bernmar Thunder regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Bernmar Thunder with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Derubeis pleaded guilty to the charge. Bernmar Thunder was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bound For Alice was quick to begin.  Tinaka was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Tango Princess turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the event. Aston Quich and Queen Elsa collided soon after the start causing Queen Elsa and Dr. Watson to collide.  Shakey Jake galloped on the heels of Bound For Alice approaching the home turn checking Bound For Alice, Shakey Jake, Aston Quich and Dr. Watson; Aston Quich raced wide as a result.  Bound For Alice and Dr. Watson collided several times in the home straight.

Tango Princess was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards established that Tango Princess turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1), Tango Princess was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Davis, the trainer of Cement Socks regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cement Socks last raced on 7th May, 2016.  Ms. Davis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right monkey muscle injury.

Meteor Thunder was quick to begin.  Cosmic Sole and Aaron Soda were slow to begin.  Lucky Andy and Apollo Greed collided soon after the start.  Lucky Andy and Cement Socks collided approaching the first turn.  Grand Hero and Apollo Greed collided on the first turn checking Apollo Greed.  Laytown and Lucky Andy collided on the first turn checking Lucky Andy and Cosmic Sole.  Lucky Andy and Apollo Greed collided approaching the winning post.

Apollo Greed was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its right hind foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Whittle Mikado was a late scratching at 11:20am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. P. Jones was fined the sum of $100.

Jazzy Fizzle was quick to begin.  Zero Care Factor eased approaching the home turn checking Jazzy Fizzle.  Mighty Mish, Dr. Ohwoe and Gats Pacino collided approaching the home turn checking Dr. Ohwoe.  Jazzy Fizzle and Perry White collided on the home turn.  Zero Care Factor and Gats Pacino collided on the home turn.  Zero Care Factor, Mighty Mish and Gats Pacino collided in the home straight checking Gats Pacino.  Mighty Mish checked off Zero Care Factor in the home straight.

Zero Care Factor was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Lund, the trainer of the greyhound Zero Care Factor regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.   Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zero Care Factor with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Lund pleaded guilty to the charge. Zero Care Factor was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Magnificent Pete was slow to begin.  Axel Boy and To Dee Rhythm collided on the first turn checking To Dee Rhythm.  Zou Zou Nee and Jada's Joy collided on the first turn checking Axel Boy and severely checking Zou Zou Nee and Jada's Joy; Jada's Joy pulled up as a result.  Axel Boy checked off Say Nothing approaching the home turn.

Jada's Joy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured radius/ulna bone.  The greyhound was humanely euthanised.

Acquitted was quick to begin.  All About Arby, Acquitted and Smart Tornado collided on the first turn checking Acquitted, Choclotto and Oscar.  All About Arby and Brooklyn Cruiser collided approaching the home turn checking Brooklyn Cruiser which lost ground as a result.  All About Arby and Richo Brae collided entering the home straight checking All About Arby.

Brooklyn Cruiser was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. V. Sultana, the trainer of the greyhound Brooklyn Cruiser.  Stewards deemed the performance of Brooklyn Cruiser unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Brooklyn Cruiser must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Squeaky Gate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Trotman, the trainer of Misty Sannette regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Misty Sannette last raced on 28th December 2016.  Mr. Trotman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season and a right hock injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Misty Sannette trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 1, weight 27.9kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 26.23.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75 lengths.  Misty Sannette was cleared.
