Proven Crown was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Clovalley Dolly and Roll 'Em Maggie collided on the first turn. Aston Payton and Bastet Bale collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking Aston Payton. Duff Bale and Where's Marcia collided on the home turn. Proven Crown raced wide in the home straight.

Proven Crown was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr K. Chivell, trainer of Derail redeclared a new weight of 31.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Derail last raced at 30.6kg.

Why Not Logan was slow to begin. Mr Wingnut and Perpetrator collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Miss Barbados and I'm No Nag collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Miss Barbados, Mr Wingnut and causing Miss Barbados and  Mr Wingnut to tail off. I'm No Nag and Heath Wot collided on the first turn, checking I'm No Nag, Heath Wot and Harrier Bale. Derail raced wide approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. I'm No Nag and Harrier Bale collided entering the home straight, checking I'm No Nag.

Mr Wingnut  was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Miss Barbados was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to both front legs, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Derail was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right blade muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Pattie was quick to begin. College Dropout and Dutch Schultz collided soon after the start. Wild Robyn checked off Little Pattie on the first turn, severely checking Dutch Schultz. Draper Bale, College Dropout and Thundering Lad collided on the first turn, checking College Dropout. Wild Robyn and Dutch Schultz collided approaching the home turn. Draper Bale and Roll 'Em Sharky collided on the home turn.

Rival Houdini was quick to begin. Moyarra Operari and Crazy Sprite were slow to begin. Roll 'Em Missy and Minnie Jay collided soon after the start, checking Minnie Jay and Crazy Sprite. Smooth Silver was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind and a fractured metacarpals, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Neveah Beach was quick to begin. Choco Rocco, Hardaway Law and Aqua Lamont collided soon after the start. Noaki Beach checked off Neveah Beach on the first turn, checking Final Bid. Hot And Lonesome and Hardaway Law collided on the first turn. Choco Rocco checked off Hardaway Law on the first turn. Hardaway Law and Aqua Lamont collided on the home turn.
