Decanus was slow to begin. Peggy Sable and Classic Nitro collided soon after the start checking Classic Nitro. Speedy Carerro and Yazz collided soon after the start. Peggy Sable, Sonic Fantasy and Speedy Carerro collided approaching the first turn checking Peggy Sable and Classic Nitro, severely checking Yazz and causing Decanus to stumble and lose considerable ground; Sonic Fantasy and Speedy Carerro fell as a result.
Sonic Fantasy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to its right calf. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
