Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. M.Shaw, the trainer of Big Black Rocket regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Big Black Rocket last raced on 31st March, 2016. M. Shaw stated that Big Black Rocket is returning to racing after sustaining a left shoulder injury.
Mrs J Chilcott, trainer of Zero Zephyr redeclared a new weight of 24.5 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zero Zephyr last raced at 22.9 kg's (Clearance Trial - Broken Hill, NSW).
Oriental Ginger was quick to begin. Vanity Affair and Zero Zephyr were slow to begin. Markom went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Vanity Affair and Too Fly Man collided soon after the start, severely checking Too Fly Man. Oriental Ginger, Stoppa Bus, Ultimate Matrix and Big Black Rocket collided on the first turn checking Oriental Ginger, severely checking Stoppa Bus and Ultimate Matrix. Ultimate Matrix checked off Stoppa Bus approaching the home turn. Stoppa Bus checked off Too Fly Man entering the home straight checking Ultimate Matrix. Oriental Ginger checked off Markom in the home straight checking Too Fly Man.
