Steward's Report
Janray Anolajean was quick to begin. Tom's Gift was slow to begin. Vashta Nerada and Ruby Cabang collided soon after the start checking Vashta Nerada. Latifi Sam and Miss Jay Dodgers collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Jay Dodgers. Vashta Nerada eased approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. Quick Sensation and Janray Anolajean collided on the home turn checking Janray Anolajean. Digger Do checked off Tom's Gift on the home turn. Quick Sensation checked off Digger Do in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking Quick Sensation and Latifi Sam.
Vashta Nerada was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr S. Divers, the representative of Vashta Nerada. Mr Divers declined to have the greyhound revetted. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Vashta Nerada with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Divers, pleaded guilty to the charge, Vashta Nerada was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
