Steward's Report
Bluey's Dash and Doongalla Gal were slow to begin.
Shot Of Scotch underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 3, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Paula Boots regarding Shot Of Scotch's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Boots to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Shot Of Scotch in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Doongalla Gal (turned its head outwards at the 150m mark), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and right shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ashley Onley regarding Doongalla Gal’s racing manners at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Doongalla Gal was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Onley pleaded guilty to the charge. Doongalla Gal must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sparkle Pants (turned its head inwards and visibly eased at the 125m mark), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Cameron Taylor regarding Sparkle Pants racing manners at the 125m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Sparkle Pants was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Taylor pleaded not guilty to the charge. Sparkle Pants was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
