Twist Away was quick to begin. Watta Barghest and Lord Kitchener were slow to begin. Wadelock Latte and Southwood Jack collided soon after the start. Twist Away and Dashing Roman collided soon after the start. Lord Kitchener and Wadelock Latte collided approaching the first turn. Twist Away and Dashing Roman collided on the first turn. Twist Away contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Southwood Jack raced wide on the home turn.
Twist Away was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
