Steward's Report
Mr. K. Holland the representative of Magic Seal declared a new weight of 25.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 69(2). Magic Seal last raced at 23.6kg.
This race was re-scheduled to 3.24pm to allow for the broadcaster to arrive on course after being delayed in a traffic accident.
Baby Tenby and Ego Yar were quick to begin. Emilia Cash and Tearful Liar were slow to begin. Destructacon and Lars Boy collided approaching the first turn. Magic Seal galloped on Baby Tenby approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Magic Seal, Baby Tenby and Emilia Cash collided on the first turn checking Magic Seal and Emilia Cash and severley checking Lars Boy and Destructacon. Tearful Liar and Lars Boy collided on the first turn checking Lars Boy and severely checking Tearful Liar. Magic Seal, Baby Tenby and Emilia Cash collided approaching the home turn. Emilia Cash raced wide on the home turn. Magic Seal marred Emilia Cash entering the home straight.
Magic Seal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a moderate case of the thumps and an injured right metacarpal, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Holland the representative of the greyhound Magic Seal regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Magic Seal with marring. Mr. Holland pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Seal was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
