This race was re-scheduled to 3.24pm to allow for the broadcaster to arrive on course after being delayed in a traffic accident.

Baby Tenby and Ego Yar were quick to begin.  Emilia Cash and Tearful Liar were slow to begin.  Destructacon and Lars Boy collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Seal galloped on Baby Tenby approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Magic Seal, Baby Tenby and Emilia Cash collided on the first turn checking Magic Seal and Emilia Cash and severley checking Lars Boy and Destructacon.  Tearful Liar and Lars Boy collided on the first turn checking Lars Boy and severely checking Tearful Liar.  Magic Seal, Baby Tenby and Emilia Cash collided approaching the home turn.  Emilia Cash raced wide on the home turn.  Magic Seal marred Emilia Cash entering the home straight.

Magic Seal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a moderate case of the thumps and an injured right metacarpal, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Holland the representative of the greyhound Magic Seal regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Magic Seal with marring.  Mr. Holland pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Seal was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Armidale Lass upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Pie Problem was quick to begin.  This Is Nice, Armadale Lass and Mai Linh Febey were slow to begin.  Mai Linh Febey was checked off Johnny Wolf soon after the start.  Bozza Boloney and Armadale Lass collided on the first turn checking Bozza Boloney.  Armadale Lass was checked off Johnny Wolf on the first turn and stumbled.  This Is Nice raced wide on the first turn.

Bozza Boloney was vetted following the event on the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left dew claw, no stand down period was imposed.

Epping Champ, Blonde Max and Platinum Doll were slow to begin.  Epping Champ was checked off Midori Miss approaching the first turn.  Midori Miss and Light 'Em Lylah collided on the first turn checking Midori Miss.  Platinum Doll raced wide on the first turn.  See Sixty Three contacted the running rail in the back straight causing Blonde Max to gallop on See Sixty Three severley checking See Sixty Three, Blonde Max and Platinum Doll.

Ninetymile Toby was a late scratching at 2.45pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a right shoulder injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Happy Colour was quick to begin.  Special Member and Belfast Babe were slow to begin.  Special Member was checked off Belfast Babe approaching the first turn.  Happy Colour, Select Scott and Daintree Jim collided on the first turn checking Select Scott which raced wide.  Belfast Babe eased approaching the second turn.  Special Member and Belfast Babe collided entering the back straight and again on the third turn checking Belfast Babe and Select Scott.

Neocleous the trainer of the greyhound Belfast Babe regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Belfast Babe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right flexor tendon, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Belfast Babe with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mrs. Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Belfast Babe was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Quich, Zebo Bale and Son Of Nikita were slow to begin.  Aston Quich and Hello Jazzy collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Quich.  Hello Jazzy, Motors Too Fast and Label This collided on the first turn checking Motors Too Fast and Label This.  Hello Jazzy eased entering the back straight.  Label This and White With One collided on the second turn checking Label This and severely checking White With One which stumbled.

There's Steamy was quick to begin.  Reek and Garnier Bale were slow to begin.  Golden Dreams and La Petite collided approaching the first turn checking La Petite.  Golden Dreams was checked off There's Steamy on the first turn severely checking La Petite which stumbled checking Garnier Bale.  Reek and Blonde Whylie collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Blonde Whylie which stumbled.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard regarding the direction that the greyhound Golden Dreams be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Miss Waugh Path was a late scratching at 2.48pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. K. Mitchell was fined the sum of $100.

Mr. M. Craig the representative of Meteor Thunder declared a new weight of 29.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 69(2).  Meteor Thunder last raced at 28.3kg.

Crusader was quick to begin.  Amaroo Gonzales was slow to begin.  Medacious Lad and Meteor Thunder collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Mendacious Lad and Meteor Thunder collided on the first turn checking Mendacious Lad.  Sappy Bale was checked off Crusader on the first turn.  Amaroo Gonzales was checked off Chlomar Jimber on the first turn.  Meteor Thunder and Amaroo Gonzales collided approaching the home turn checking Amaroo Gonzales.  Mendacious Lad and Meteor Thunder collided on the home turn.
