Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Son Of Nikita.
Aston Quich, Zebo Bale and Son Of Nikita were slow to begin. Aston Quich and Hello Jazzy collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Quich. Hello Jazzy, Motors Too Fast and Label This collided on the first turn checking Motors Too Fast and Label This. Hello Jazzy eased entering the back straight. Label This and White With One collided on the second turn checking Label This and severely checking White With One which stumbled.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gilmour the representative of the greyhound Hello Jazzy regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight. Hello Jazzy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Hello Jazzy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Gilmour pleaded guilty to the charge, Hello Jazzy was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
