Steward's Report
Kennels closed 5 minutes late due to issues with Fasttrack.
Mr. K. Tirchett, handler of Caitlin Louise declared a new weight of 28.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Caitlin Louise last raced at 26.4kg.
All Inn Emma was slow to begin. Shazza's Gift, Hillbilly Kisses and Caitlin Louise collided soon after the start checking Caitlin Louise. All Inn Emma checked off Ramrod approaching the first turn. Hope For Lissy crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Shazza's Gift and severely checking Hillbilly Kisses which stumbled. Hillbilly Kisses and Ramrod collided approaching the home turn. All Inn Emma and Kinloch Monty collided approaching the home turn. Caitlin Louise galloped on the heels of Kinloch Monty entering the home straight. Shazza's Gift checked off Caitlin Louise in the home straight.
Hillbilly Kisses was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apprent injury found.
Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr R. Matthyssen in regards to the improved performance of Heineken Girl. Mr Matthyssen stated that the greyhound had recieved considerable interference at it's previous runs, and after begining well today and experiencing a clear run, was able to run a similar time to what it has recorded in the past. Mr Mattyssen further stated that he expected the greyhound to perform well in the race if it was run to suit. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Matthyssen and directed that a sample be taken from Heineken Girl.
