Kennels closed 5 minutes late due to issues with Fasttrack.

Mr. K. Tirchett, handler of Caitlin Louise declared a new weight of 28.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Caitlin Louise last raced at 26.4kg.

All Inn Emma was slow to begin. Shazza's Gift, Hillbilly Kisses and Caitlin Louise collided soon after the start checking Caitlin Louise. All Inn Emma checked off Ramrod approaching the first turn. Hope For Lissy crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Shazza's Gift and severely checking Hillbilly Kisses which stumbled. Hillbilly Kisses and Ramrod collided approaching the home turn. All Inn Emma and Kinloch Monty collided approaching the home turn. Caitlin Louise galloped on the heels of Kinloch Monty entering the home straight. Shazza's Gift checked off Caitlin Louise in the home straight.

Hillbilly Kisses was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apprent injury found.

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr R. Matthyssen in regards to the improved performance of Heineken Girl. Mr Matthyssen stated that the greyhound had recieved considerable interference at it's previous runs, and after begining well today and experiencing a clear run, was able to run a similar time to what it has recorded in the past. Mr Mattyssen further stated that he expected the greyhound to perform well in the race if it was run to suit. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Matthyssen and directed that a sample be taken from Heineken Girl.

Dark Corgi and Sisco Blast were quick to begin. Skipalong Kelly was slow to begin. Juda Lomar and Sisco Blast collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Jayjay and Dark Corgi collided approaching the first turn checking Dark Corgi. Juda Lomar, Maine Heart, Kraken Jayjay and Barby Que collided on the first turn checking Maine Heart and severely checking Kraken Jayjay which collided with Sir Fire. Skipalong Kelly checked off Maine Heart entering the home straight. Sir Fire raced wide in the home straight. Skipalong Kelly and Dark Corgi collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Kraken Jayjay became dislodged during the running of the event.

A sample was taken from Sisco Blast, winner of the event.

Swift Bunny went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Groucho, Mischievous Win and Stellar Impact collided soon after the start checking Stellar Impact and Mischievous Win. Say Nothing crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Stellar Impact. Patch Lane checked off Steel Empire on the first turn. Swift Bunny and Mischievous Win collided on the home turn. Stellar Impact galloped on the heels of Say Nothing on the home turn severely checking Stellar Impact which collided with Mischievous Win. Say Nothing and Swift Bunny collided entering the home straight. Paleface Girl raced wide in the home straight. 

Mischievous Win was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind toe. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Ebony Eclipse and Uno Perry were slow to begin. La Flair and Mrs. Fozz collided approaching the first turn. Ebony Eclipse, Claretown Happy, Clovalley Arnie and Tat Minnie collided approaching the first turn. Ebony Eclipse, Claretown Happy and Clovalley Arnie collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. La Flair and Mrs. Fozz collided on the first turn. Clovalley Arnie and Tat Minnie collided on the first turn checking Tat Minnie. Tat Minnie, Mrs. Fozz and Uno Perry collided on the home turn. Uno Perry and Mrs. Fozz collided on the home turn checking Mrs. Fozz. Lance Lomar faltered on the home turn. Lance Lomar and Claretown Happy collided several times in the home straight severely checking Lance Lomar which tailed off.

Lance Lomar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Just A Dot was a late scratching at 9:15am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Bamba Lam Barney was slow to begin. Umiko Bale and Don's Collision collided approaching the first turn. Daisy Bale, Don's Collision and Umiko Bale collided on the first turn. Nuggy Burger, Daisy Bale, Don's Collision and Umiko Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Don's Collision and Umiko Bale. He's Your Mate and Bamba Lam Barney collided approaching the second turn checking He's Your Mate. Umiko Bale and Daisy Bale collided entering the back straight and again in the back straight. Don's Collision checked off Bamba Lam Barney approaching the third turn. Don's Collision and Daisy Bale collided on the third turn checking Daisy Bale. Umiko Bale and Nuggy Burger collided on the home turn and entering the home straight. Nuggy Burger and Sunday Sess collided approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Umiko Bale, winner of the event.

I'm No Nag was a late scratching at 2.40pm  by Order of Stewards. Stewards spoke to Mr G Connell, handler and authorised representative of the greyhound It's No Nag and issued a charge pursuant to GAR 86(o), in that he failed to present the greyhound I'm No Nag for this event, which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr Connell pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr Connell guilty and issued him with a fine of $200.

A pre race sample was taken from All Inn Piper.

Ayden Jackson was slow to begin. Leroy Tron, Spur Tron and Big Talker collided soon after the start checking Big Talker. All Inn Piper and Nero Joe collided approaching the first turn. Fancy Bounce, Dodge The Storm, Dark Chance and Daintree Alice collided soon after the start checking Dark Chance and Daintree Alice. Fancy Bounce checked off Dodge The Storm approaching the first turn. Midnight El, All Inn Tops and Oriental Princess collided on the first turn checking Midnight eel and Oriental Princess. Daintree Alice galloped on the heels of Oriental Princess on the home turn. Midnight El and Oriental Princess collided on the home turn and again enetring the home straight. Daintree Alice and Dodge The Storm collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Midnight El and Fancy Bounce collided in the home straight. Dark Chance checked off Midnight El in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr K. Tirchett, trainer of the greyhound Victory Cruise which had not raced since 15 March 2016. Mr Tirchett stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel.

Lido's Boy and Slipaway Robbie were slow to begin. Lido's Boy galloped on the heels of Miss Capone soon after the start severely checking both greyhounds. Uncontrollable and Me Name's Nelson collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Uncontrollable. Slipaway Robbie and Thunderous Night collided on the first turn checking Thunderous Night. Miss Capone and Lido's Boy collided on the home turn. Lido's Boy and Victory Cruise collided entering the home straight. Uncontrollable raced wide in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Staggerlicious, winner of the event.

Stewards noted that the form of King's Delight failed to reflect that the dog competed at Shepparton on 1 February 2016, an event which was declared a no race due to the premature opening of the starting boxes. Stewards therefore considered that the greyhound was eligible for this event and was not required to complete a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 77A. Stewards spoke to Mr J Donaldson, trainer of King's Delight, who stated that the greyhound was relatively new to his kennel and that he had been coursing with the greyhound.

Cullquin Rocky was quick to begin. Swift Jaraig, Snow Hawke and King's Delight collided soon after the start. Snow Hawke checked off Swift Jaraig approaching the first turn. Scarlett Lad and Swift Jaraig collided on the first turn checking Swift Jaraig, Snow Hawke, Kraken Zuri, Just Jatt and King's Delight collided on the first turn severely checking Kraken Zuri. Just Jatt and Swift Jaraig collided on the home turn. Cullquin Rocky and Patchie Kaye collided entering the home straight. King's Delight and Kraken Zuri collided in the home straight. Scarlett Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound cramped, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr S Stefanos handler of the greyhound Scarlett Lad.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted

Daintree Teacake, Fatboy Linc and Stress Star collided soon after the start checking Stress Star. Fatboy Linc and Latte Donny collided approaching the first turn checking Latte Donny. Coopnarcha galloped on the heels of Rosie Bronx on the home turn checking Coopnarcha. Elite Stress checked off Domestic Girl entering the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Cowboy Jury, winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms J Fothergill, and issued a charge pursuant to GAR 86(q) in that as a registered trainer and attendant, whilst preparing the greyhound Cowboy Jury for racing did by way of taking photos of said greyhound in the kennelling area, did engage in conduct detrimental to the image and control of greyhound racing. Ms Fothergill pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Ms Fothergill guitly and issued a fine of $250.

Stewards spoke to Ms. B. King, the trainer of Winter Time regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Winter Time last raced on 9 March 2016.  Ms. King stated that the greyhound was returning from injuries to both dew claws.

A pre race sample was taken from Jet Pack Model.

Our Lilly was slow to begin. Winter Time, Jet Pack Model, Argyle Diamond and Our Lilly collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Winter Time and Jet Pack Model which stumbled. Star's Delight galloped on the heels of Corgi Cry on the first turn severely checking Star's Delight. Corgi Cry, Argyle Diamond and Our Lilly collided approaching the home turn checking Argyle Diamond and Our Lilly. Argyle Diamond and Our Lilly collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Dodge The Cop checked off Elite Swift in the home straight. Our Lilly and Argyle Diamond in the home straight. Corgi Cry cramped in the home straight.

Corgi Cry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered cramp in the home straight. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr F Meyer trainer of the greyhound Corgi Cry.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr F Meyer regarding the direction that the greyhound Corgi Cry be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Star's Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the trapeze muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results - Bruzzy Boucheau trialled over the 450mt from box 3, weight 29.9kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.83, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths. Bruzzy Boucheau was cleared.
