Steward's Report
Gunsblaze was a late scratching at 5.54pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the representative of Dr. Phil regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dr. Phil last raced on 20/03/16. Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right stopper injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Tywin Bale.
Down Every Road and No Road collided soon after the start. Dr. Phil, Price Tag and No Road collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Phil and Price Tag. Crackerjack Andy tired over the concluding stages of the event. Tumble And Dry faltered approaching the winning post.
Tumble And Dry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Crackerjack Andy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Gibbons the representative of the greyhound Crackerjack Andy. Stewards deemed the performance of Crackerjack Andy unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance wtih GAR 71 Stewards directed that Crackerjack Andy must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
