Steward's Report
Pertinacious and Shining Grace were quick to begin.
Blue Tick Tyrone raced wide throughout.
Pertinacious (turned head outwards turning into the home straight before visibly easing over the concluding stages of the event) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr. Bruce Stirling declined the option to have the greyhound re-examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Stirling regarding Pertinacious’ racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Pertinacious was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Stirling pleaded guilty to the charge. Pertinacious was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
