Letty Bee was quick to begin.  Stevron Autos was slow to begin.  Tuxedo Black and Loader collided soon after the start.  Tuxedo Black, Loader, Kayo King and Miz Josie collided approaching the first turn checking Miz Josie and severley checking Kayo King.  Horus Gun and Loader collided on the first turn checking Loader.  Stevron Autos was checked off Letty Bee approaching the home turn.  Loader was checked off Direct Deal approaching the home turn. Horus Gun was checked off Direct Deal on the home turn checking Loader, Horus Gun stumbled as a result.

Horus Gun was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Onto Jatt was a late scratching at 8.49am due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Arctic Blaze.

Useful was quick to begin.  Aston Tadita, Arctic Blaze, In The Trolley and Shytown Hussler collided soon after the start.  Aston Tadita was checked off In The Trolley approaching the  first turn.  Arctic Blaze and Aston Tadita collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Tadita.  Iraika Warrior and Shytown Hussler collided approaching the home turn.  True Optimist and Useful collided approaching the home turn.  Arctic Blaze raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

True Optimist was vetted following the event at the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken tail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Chrystal was a late scratching at 10.10am due to illness.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from It Gets Better.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 10 minutes due to a malfunction with the tractor whilst grading the track.

Vienna Pink turned in the box and took no competitive part in the event.  Lemon Paw, Dewana Express, Sonny's Honey and Lord Somersby were slow to begin.  Dr. Logan and Deawana Express collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Logan which lost considerable ground.

Dr. Logan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right flexor tendon, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Vienna Pink was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards established that Vienna Pink turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Vienna Pink was placed on a satisfactory trial all tracks.

Gunsblaze was a late scratching at 5.54pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the representative of Dr. Phil regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dr. Phil last raced on 20/03/16.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right stopper injury.

Down Every Road and No Road collided soon after the start.  Dr. Phil, Price Tag and No Road collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Phil and Price Tag.  Crackerjack Andy tired over the concluding stages of the event.  Tumble And Dry faltered approaching the winning post.

Tumble And Dry was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Gibbons the representative of the greyhound Crackerjack Andy.  Stewards deemed the performance of Crackerjack Andy unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance wtih GAR 71 Stewards  directed that Crackerjack Andy must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Davis the representative of Strzelecki regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Strzelecki last raced on 21/02/16.  Ms. Davis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right archillies injury.

Tiger Whelan, Dr. Balboa and Phil's In Luck collided soon after the start checking Dr. Balboa.  Neville Bale and Strzelecki collided soon after the start checking Neville Bale.  Phil's In Luck crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Tiger Whelan and Strzelecki.  Neville Bale and Strzaelecki collided approaching the first turn.  Neville Bale and Dr. Balboa collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Balboa was checked off Neville Bale in the home straight.
