Useful was quick to begin. Aston Tadita, Arctic Blaze, In The Trolley and Shytown Hussler collided soon after the start. Aston Tadita was checked off In The Trolley approaching the first turn. Arctic Blaze and Aston Tadita collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Tadita. Iraika Warrior and Shytown Hussler collided approaching the home turn. True Optimist and Useful collided approaching the home turn. Arctic Blaze raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
True Optimist was vetted following the event at the request of the trainer. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken tail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
