Dr. Gidget was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hock, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mignon was vetted following the event on the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle and a spike wound to the right hind foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

In The Trolley was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Neocleous the trainer of the greyhound Johnny Bullet regarding the greyhound's racing manners on  the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Johnny Bullet with marring.  Mrs. Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Johnny Bullet was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pusuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Haristotle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Trainer Mr. W. McMahon declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Haristotle regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Haristotle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Haristotle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Implosion Liam, Jules' Fancy and All About Arby were slow to begin.  Shanks Very Much and Cleo's Boy collided approaching the first turn.  Shanks Very Much, Cleo's Boy and Jules' Fancy collided on the first turn checking Shanks Very Much and severley checking Cleo's Boy and Jules' Fancy.  Implosion Liam, Cleo's Boy and Jules' Fancy collided on the second turn checking all three greyhounds.

Following the running of this event, when the judges posted the numbers of 1 8 2 4 the semaphore board malfunctioned, indicating it was a dead heat for first.  This was corrected after approximately 1 minute, the TAB was contacted and advised of the correct placings 1 8 2 4 then the all clear was given.
