Steward's Report
Fairy Pretty was quick to begin. Kid Audacious was slow to begin. American Monster, Lithgow Panther and Blue Revolver collided soon after the start checking Lithgow Panther. Fairy Pretty and Blue Revolver collided approaching the first turn. American Monster was checked off Fairy Pretty approaching the first turn. Haristotle and Coalville Tiger collided on the first turn. Fairy Pretty, Blue Revolver and Kid Audacious collided on the first turn. Haristotle and Coalville Tiger collided and raced wide approaching the second turn. Haristotle eased approaching the second turn and collided with Coalville Tiger severely checking Coalville Tiger. Fairy Pretty was checked off Blue Revolver on the second turn.
Haristotle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Trainer Mr. W. McMahon declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Haristotle regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Haristotle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Haristotle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
