Steward's Report

Miss Crazy Cat was slow to begin.  Baron Charlie and Blood Moon collided soon after the start.  Blood Moon and Hoosh Nar collided on the first turn. Secret Choice and Why Not George collided approaching the home turn.  Baron Charlie and Miss Crazy Cat collided approaching the home turn.  Blood Moon and So Vivacious collided approaching the home turn severely checking Blood Moon.  Blood Moon and Hoosh Nar collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Blood Moon and Hoosh Nar collided several times in the home straight.  Hoosh Nar eased approaching the winning post and collided with Blood Moon; both greyhounds were checked as a result.

Blood Moon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Hoosh Nar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Mr. J. Formosa, the representative of the greyhound declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa, the representative of the greyhound Hoosh Nar regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Hoosh Nar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge.  Hoosh Nar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
