Slipaway Anna and High Success were slow to begin. Solitary Tear crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Emi's Boy Badger, Carlanna Sharna, Senni William and Suspicious Sam and severely checking Jemlee. Emi's Boy Badger, Carlanna Sharna and Senni William collided on the first turn checking Carlanna Sharna. Emi's Boy Badger and Senni William collided approaching the home turn checking Senni William. Emi's Boy Badger and Slipaway Anna collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. King, the trainer of the greyhound Tricky Tezza regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Tricky Tezza last raced on 31st July 2015.
