Formosa, the representative of the greyhound Hoosh Nar regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Hoosh Nar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge.  Hoosh Nar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Don's Racer was a late scratching at 11:16am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. N. Carthew was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. King, the trainer of the greyhound Tricky Tezza regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Tricky Tezza last raced on 31st July 2015.  Mr. King stated that the greyhound was returning to race after quadracep and triangle injuries.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Tricky Tezza trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 36.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.76.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 lengths.  Tricky Tezza was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Bowerman, the trainer of the greyhound Duval regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Duval last raced on 29th October 2015.  Mr. Bowerman stated that the greyhound was returning to race after respiratory issues.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Duval trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 7, weight 32.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.76.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75 lengths.  Duval was cleared.

Couldridge, the representative of the greyhound Swift Bazmo regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Swift Bazmo last raced on 8th June 2015.  Mr. Cooldridge stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being on season, a fractured front toe and the greyhound was new to the kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Swift Bazmo trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 27.9kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.76.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Swift Bazmo was cleared.
