Steward's Report
Noonbarra Joe and Aston Isaac were quick to begin. Allen Quarian and Kantega were slow to begin. Mo Keeping and Daphne''s Party collided soon after the start. Kantega, Aston Isaac and Evers Bale collided on the first turn checking Aston Isaac and Akando. Allen Quarian raced wide on the first turn. Akando checked off the heels of Allen Quarian on the third turn. Kantega checked off the heels of Noonbarra Joe approaching the home turn. Mo Keeping and Daphne's Party collided on the home turn. Daphnes Party marred Mo Keepng entering the home straight. Mo Keeping and Daphne''s Party collided in the home straight checking Daphne''s Party.
Daphne's Party was vetted following the Event. It was reported that 'the greyhound sustained a right hamstring injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Michael Carter, Trainer of Daphne's Party, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Daphne's Party with marring. Mr. Carter pleaded guilty to the charge. Daphne's Party was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2) before any future nomination will be accepted.
