A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Nelson.
Hisagi Bale, Zipping Nelson and Ikari Express were slow out. Graff Bale and Ikari Express collided soon after the start. Dory Bale and Hisagi Bale collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Dory Bale. Dory Bale and Graff Bale collided on the first turn causing Graff Bale and Ikari Express to collide. Hisagi Bale contacted the running rail approaching the second turn. Iyliss Bale clipped the heels of Glitterbug approaching the second turn, Dory Bale and Graff Bale collided on the second turn checking Dory Bale. Hisagi Bale contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.
Dory Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
