An out of competiton sample was unable to be obtained from Cavalia engaged in this event on 16/03/2015 pursuant to 79A.
A pre race sample was taken from Cavalia.
Cavalia was slow to begin. Acola Magic and Gifted Man collided soon after the start. Rylee's Marshall and Acola Magic collided approaching the first turn checking Acola Magic. Rylee's Marshall and Willowvale Black collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Acola Magic and Cavalia collided approaching the first turn checking Acola Magic. Blingtastic and Willowvale Black collided on the first turn checking Willowvale Black. Willowvale Black galloped on Rylee's Marshall on the first turn causing Willowvale Black to fall, Willowvale Black contacted the running rail as a result severely checking Gifted Man. Rylee's Marshall and Blingtastic collided entering the home straight.
Willowvale Black was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injjred right shoulder muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Gifted Man was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
