Steward's Report
A urine sample was taken from Winnie's Wish upon arrival to the course.
Mr Raymond Farquhar was issued with a warning under GAR156(f) for negligence, after the greyhound Winnie's Wish was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kenneling process. Similarly, Club Officials were reminded of their responsibilities and the matter was referred to the Club Manager.
Unreal Miss, Utrillo Bale and I'm Honey were quick to begin. Xeni Bale was slow to begin.
Moraine Sofia (racing manners in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Peter Fulton regarding the racing manners of Moraine Sofia in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Fulton, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action. In arriving at this decision, Stewards formed the view that Moraine Sofia was attempting to cross to the rail whilst I'm Honey, on its immediate inside, was attempting to cross out, checking Moraine Sofia which lost ground.
