Cyclone Ruby and Pambi Rocks collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Extension and Nick's My Mate collided soon after the start. Extension crossed to the outside approaching the first turn checking Blake's Thyme. Capacity, Winslow Warrior and Blake's Thyme collided on the first turn checking Nick's My Mate. Capacity, Pambi Rocks and Cyclone Ruby collided approaching the home turn. Cyclone Ruby raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr M. Niele, trainer of Extension, regarding his lateness in arriving at the kennels to prepare the greyhound for racing.
