Herodium galloped on the heels of Soho Sweet Gal approaching the first turn checking Herodium, Hot Thyme, Can't Tell You and Happy Ted. Rakura and Soho Sweet Gal collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Happy Ted was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Marina's Diamond and Elle Jack were slow to begin.

Leo McCormack crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Osti's Moment. Flash Prestige, Bibby's Bella and Magic Boy collided on the first turn checking Magic Boy and Bibby's Bella. Magic Boy, Bibby's Bella and Osti's Moment collided approaching the home turn. Flash Prestige checked off Bandsaw approaching the home turn. Osti's Moment and Leo McCormack collided on the home turn. Marina's Diamond raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Leo McCormack and Bibby's Bella collided in the home straight. Flash Prestige and Elle Jack collided in the home straight.

Cooly Queen was quick to begin. Hornsey's Angel, Ashanti Bear, Sundaram and Princess Mogambo were slow to begin.

Hornsey's Angel, Sundaram and Moscardo Dragon collided soon after the start. Hornsey's Angel checked off Fordy's Creek approaching the home turn. Fordy's Creek, Ashanti Bear and Moscardo Dragon collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to trainer Miss S. McKie regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Moscardo Dragon. Stewards directed that Moscardo Dragon be boxed first in future events.

Just Reprieved and Bruno Mogambo were quick to begin. Alvin Street and Anthony were slow to begin.

Bombastic Knight, Our Jordan and Kennington Lad collided on the first turn checking Bombastic Knight and severely checking Our Jordan and Kennington Lad. Bruno Mogambo checked off Alvin Street entering the home straight. Kennington Lad raced wide in the home straight.

Kadina Wonder checked off Jack's Elle on the first turn checking Kadina Wonder and Brandy and severely checking Baffle Plate.

Messy Boots was a late scratching at 11:35AM due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer J.Higgins was fined the sum of $100.

Regal Diamonds and Bazz As Boss were slow to begin.

S. Liuzzi was fined the sum of $50 for his failure to produce the registration papers for the greyhound Gary Groundwork pursuant to GAR 33.

Gary Groundwork was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Bet Bet Apollo and Mr. Zed collided soon after the start checking Mr. Zed. Miss Woorndoo, Black Bargain and Born To Molly collided soon after the start checking Black Bargain. Black Bargain checked off Gary Groundwork on the first turn causing Black Bargain to lose considerable ground. Mr. Zed, Gary Groundwork and Maximum Height collided on the home turn checking Maximum Height. Mr. Zed checked off Gary Groundwork in the home straight.

Remo Ruby, Solar Agent and Sir Alfred were slow to begin.

Campaspe Tina checked off Em's Danger on the first turn checking Sir Alfred. Escapade Jess checked off Em's Danger entering the back straight. Ultra Whiz checked off Campaspe Tina approaching the home turn. Escapade Jess checked off Solar Agent entering the home straight. Sir Alfred checked off Ultra Whiz in the home straight.

Diamond Hustler was a late scratching at 11:50AM due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer J. Dunn was fined the sum of $100.

Vapour Street, Madame Betsy and Osti's Victory were slow to begin.

Following the event, judges inadvertedly semiphored the numbers of 7 (1 and 2 dead heating) (4 for third). There was no dead heat for second placing, numbers were then corrected to 7, 1, 2, 4 before all clear was given.

Ronny Colins was a late scratching at 1:30PM by order of stewards due to not being eligible. No stand down period was imposed.

Boltchak was slow to begin.

Johnny Mang, Crystal Springs and Should You Daire collided soon after the start. Pure Tulip checked off Johnny Mang approaching the first turn. Crazy Bandit galloped on the heels of Gidra Joe entering the home straight.

Gidra Joe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh and cuts to both hind legs. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

From Davine was slow to begin.

Cyclone Ruby and Pambi Rocks collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Extension and Nick's My Mate collided soon after the start. Extension crossed to the outside approaching the first turn checking Blake's Thyme. Capacity, Winslow Warrior and Blake's Thyme collided on the first turn checking Nick's My Mate. Capacity, Pambi Rocks and Cyclone Ruby collided approaching the home turn. Cyclone Ruby raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr M. Niele, trainer of Extension, regarding his lateness in arriving at the kennels to prepare the greyhound for racing.
