In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.9 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.0 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Pursuant to GAR 75(6), kennel attendant Ms. Amber Manning did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.

Archer Seven was quick to begin. Aston Daicos was slow to begin.

Good Neighbour (faltered approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left bicep injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Brianna Robertson-Leech regarding the racing manners of Good Neighbour approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Ms. Brianna Robertson-Leech, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Archer Seven (checked entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadricep injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Brad Sands regarding the racing manners of Archer Seven on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Brad Sands, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued. 

Storms Will Roll (marred Mr. Sin Rap in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have thunps. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Desmond regarding Storms Will Roll's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123,Storms Will Roll was charged with marring. Mr. Peter Desmond pleaded guilty to the charge. Storms Will Roll was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Daicos (faltered soon after the start and was checked on the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre–race urine sample was unable to be obtained from Gunai Hurricane, a post–race [urine/blood/hair] sample was subsequently taken.

Bit Cool was quick to begin.

Fast Love was quick to begin. Paw Hunter was slow to begin.

Power Out was quick to begin. Idyllic James was slow to begin.

Our Girl Roxy (faltered entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the home turn and deemed it suitable for racing.

A pre–race urine sample was taken from Go Far Star.

Go Far Star, Mia Mighty and Sweet Begonia were slow to begin.

Go Far Star (faltered soon after th start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injured the left back muscle. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Michael Katsiris failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Zipping Spartan for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).

Expelled, Higher Force and Mr. President raced wide in the back straight. Expelled and Mr. President raced wide in the home straight.

A post–race urine sample was taken from Description – the winner of the event. 

A urine sample was taken from Offensive Lady upon arrival at the course.

He's Got Swag, McIvor Olly and Cooper Sumer were quick to begin.

McIvor Alfy (checked soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injured the left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was

imposed.

Lektra Fred was quick to begin.

There were no reportable incidents in this event.

Atlas Alien – Late scratching at 1.58pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a right back muscle injury. A day 10 stand down period was imposed.

A pre–race urine sample was taken from Pegleg Pete.

Pegleg Pete was slow to begin.

There were no reportable incidents in the event.
