Racing was indefinitely delayed at 2.31pm due to an issue affecting water supply to the Geelong Greyhound Racing Club venue. The issue was rectified and races were re-scheduled as follows:

Browser and Mystic Firefly were quick to begin. Whatever Jimmy and Mustard De Jong were slow to begin.

Mustard De Jong and Sweet Babysitter raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Martyn Empson regarding the racing manners of Browser on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Empson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Browser - placed 2nd in the event. 

Lose My Number and Albus Dumbledore were quick to begin. Voltage Strike was slow to begin. Beers And Bikes went up with the lids at box rise. 

Baldo and Anaconda Squeeze were quick to begin. Average Joe was slow to begin. Aston Geiko went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. 

Talk Backs Back was quick to begin. Aston Typhoon was slow to begin.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Talk Backs Back - the winner of the event.

Sassy Rico and Bomb Neave were quick to begin. Norbit was slow to begin.

Oryx and Urano Bale raced wide in the home straight.

Sir Coleman (failed to pursue the lure in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following Race 8. Sir Coleman was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr John Delaroche regarding Sir Coleman’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Sir Coleman was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Delaroche pleaded not guilty to the charge. Sir Coleman was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aussie Bronze and Tuff Toby were quick to begin. Our Last Hope and Jolly Johnny were slow to begin.

Tinker Kim – Late scratching at 2:14pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). Tinker Kim is not permitted to compete for 10 days in any other Event. Trainer, Mr. Craig Burns, was fined $100.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from That's A Boodie.

Velox Bale and Stitch And Shout were quick to begin. Lyrical Cripps, Our Boy Roo and Aston Monitor were slow to begin.

Lyrical Cripps (contacted rail turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness on the right foreleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Pre-race urine samples were taken from Darts Night and Targan Bale.

Break In, Darts Night and Legal Bud were quick to begin. Little Tiger was slow to begin.

Darts Night (severely checked turning off the back straight and lost ground) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

A urine sample was taken from Shall Be Quick upon arrival at the course.

Miss Patsy and Blonde Mustang were quick to begin. Shanlyn Rover was slow to begin.

Boulder Dash and Blonde Mustang raced wide in the home straight.

Shanlyn Rover (Trainer's Request) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have enophthalmos. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A urine sample was taken from Kia Ora Magic upon arrival at the course.

Crypto Prince and Evie Wonder were quick to begin. Kia Ora Magic was slow to begin.

Riverdale Clyde, Evie Wonder and Kia Ora Magic raced wide in the home straight.

Gunai Jedi and Zippi Mustang were quick to begin.

Daisy May was quick to begin.

Arandt's Girl (checked turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and a left groin injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Chain Drive – Late scratching at 11:06am with Stewards Permission (non-penalty), pursuant to GAR 19(4)(b).

A urine sample was taken from Killer Bee Cammy upon arrival at the course.

Killer Bee Cammy, Ulna and Cherry Red were quick to begin.

Pat Penny (turned its head inwards in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Donald Jarvis regarding Pat Penny's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Pat Penny was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Jarvis reserved his plea to the charge. Pat Penny was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
