Steward's Report
Fly Wheel George and Santiago Bay were slow out. Mixed Up Mary, Poetic Choice and Fly Wheel George collided soon after the start. Jack Mitchell and Voluptuous Vixen collided soon after the start. Santiago Bay crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Mixed Up Mary. Voluptuous Vixen and Fly Wheel George collided on the first turn checking Fly Wheel George. Poetic Choice clipped the heels of Fly Wheel George on the first turn. Poetic Choice checked off the heels of Fly Wheel George on the third turn. Fly Wheel George and Santiago Bay collided on the home turn.
Fly Wheel George was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained minor sand burns. No stand down penalty was applied.
Swab samples were taken from placegetters - Hoot's Mun (1st) and Zuko (2nd).
