Cynthia Bale, Tony's Fault and Jazzy's Girl were slow out. Truly Blessed and Tony's Fault collided soon after the start checking Tony's Fault. Dixie Dunbar, Truly Blessed, Smile Please, Tony's Fault and Jazzy's Girl collided on the first turn checking Truly Blessed, Smile Please, Tony's Fault and Jazzy's Girl. Kiddle Kid checked off the heels of Whiplash Smile on the first turn. Tony's Fault checked off the heels of Smile Please approaching the second turn. Truly Blessed, Smile Please and Jazzy's Girl collided on the second turn checking Truly Blessed and Smile Please. Truly Blessed and Smile Please collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Kiddle Kid raced wide on the home turn.
Truly Blessed was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound.
