Steward's Report
Lord About was revetted prior to the running of the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound and declared Lord About fit to compete.
Kanga County and Lord About were slow out. General Cosgrove, Kanga County and Boss Galore collided approaching the first turn checking Boss Galore. Kanga County, Lord About and Sly Bandit collided on the first turn checking Sly Bandit. Westwood Mac and Moyarra Speed collided on the first turn. Boss Galore checked off the heels of Sly Bandit approaching the second turn. Paris Bound and Moyarra Speed collided approaching the finishing line.
Paris Bound was vetted following the Event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right triangle muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Paris Bound down from competing for 5 days. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, James Karamatic, regarding the manner in which Paris Bound raced approaching the finishing line.
