Gaelic Peter crossed to the outside soon after the start checking New Job Jimmy, Shifty Jack, Dee Summer and Augusta Dreaming. Shifty Jack brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Bush Rebel and Drum Grohl collided approaching the home turn. New Job Jimmy checked off Shifty Jack in the home straight. Augusta Dreaming, New Job Jimmy and Shifty Jack collided approaching the winning post.
Shifty Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right back paw. No stand down period was imposed.
